I have been enjoying my new 09 Suzuki M50. Doing much better riding this bike than being a squid on that 650R.... I was not ready to be on a super fast bike, funny thing is the 650R wasn't all that fast. I have for sure came to the conclusion I need lots more experience on two wheels first.
So hello again MMR!

Its good you realized that before it was too late, some guys dont and they push themselves too much.

Well I want to learn how to push myself, but I needed more basic training. Me jumping on a sports bike without understanding the physics of bikes was pretty stupid. Anyway had to work one of the last bike nights, hopefully I can get out to one in the future.

Pushing yourself when your not ready is the easiest way to go down, seen it first hand. Last guy was very lucky.

Highway is great, I just rode to KC a couple weekends ago.... My longest ride ever. I didn't get as tired as I thought and even took 70 from Sedelia to KC. Rode into downtown running smooth. There is a hellcat windshield I have been looking at getting, but I really like the looks of the bike without. I am sure any riding over 65 mph or so would be much smoother with the shield. Just got done adding a side mounted license plate and some blacked out led turn signals on back.

It does look good without the windshield, but if you do alot of highway riding the shield really cuts down on wind buffetting. I lost the shield on my Uly coming up to COMO from KC this spring. It came off at 80mph and I couldn't find it. It made for a long ride back to KC that night running 80mph into a headwind on I 70 the whole way. Consider the Windshield.

![]() That's prolly one of the main reasons I avoid long stretches of highway. not that the bike can't do it, my neck gets cramped after trying to keep my head up in 70+mph winds. While the face shild on my FF is nice to have, the size of the hemet overall doesn't help much.
