I wear a helemt now but in the past I've lived in states that don't require it and to me it didn't matter either way. I know that risks of riding and I know they increase even more when riding without a helmet but I am for the choice and the riders ability to choose.

I see how some people ride and the only good thing about them wearing a helmet is easy clean up. I feel more riders should be taking riding courses instead of just getting a permit and bike. I think everyone should go through a state approved riders course and then more advanced courses. Spend more at first but what is the price of knowledge and a bit of experience?

It could be a good thing. Unemployment could take a swing. Those people dying will open up jobs for the people smart enough to wear a helmet. Fixing the economy maybe?!?! Makes about as much sense as the bailout crap they're passing, and won't cost us.

Are you going to be required to keep a shovel in the patrol car now D?? Or is there a better way to remove splattered brains from the pavement?

I think we should take a poll on what type of bike the first no helmet wearing fatality will be wearing. Since I saw a guy pulling out of break time onto 63 (south of COMO about 5 miles) the other day with no helmet, riding a gixxer, I guess I will pick that bike. At least his girl on the back had a helmet That's gotta count for something right? Believe that was either Sat. or Sun and the bike was black/silver. I was beside myself when I saw him, guess he was getting an early start on the new legislation.

I don't really have anything to say but wow, doesn't Missouri's government have better stuff to worry about? Like why our roads suck?

Some where a couple years back I remember reading we have the 48th worst roads out of the 50 states, with Louisiana being 49th and Alaska being the worst. But hey thats why we have the cheapest gas.
