Default Can I borrow your four wheeler?

Does anyone have a big four wheeler, preferrably 4x4 that I might use for a day? I need to roll, aerate, and rake my yard so I can reseed it. My yard is really steep and the riding mower just cannot pull the equipment up the hill. I'll handle transportation and everything.

Thanks, Ron

I'd let you... but I don't have a 4-wheeler.

I also would let you use mine, but it does good hauling me and a 11 gallon sprayer around.

Food for thought: if you do all of that work you end up spending more time mowing your yard. That could cut into your riding time and the cost of seed and fertilizer could be better spent on cool stuff for your bike.

If you are still set on the yard work get your soil tested so that you are giving your yard the correct chemicals.

More food for thought: if you spend more time riding, away from the house, and the yard looks like $hit, the unholy hell you catch from the wife will make the riding less enjoyable.

I try to keep the wife happy so I can be happy.

My neighbor just got a job with Wounded Warriors (Army) and is moving away and has to sell his house. I feel obligated to make my house as presentable as possible so it makes it easier for him to sell his house.

My yard is a nightmare right now. I've already spread lime to combat acidic soil (I had a lot of moss growing, a sure sign of high acidity). Over the winter I got lazy and put a dog tie out in the yard. The dogs killed all of the grass in a big half-moon shape in the back yard. I've also got some super moles living under the yard. They need to be disposed of too.

The moles are searching for grub worms and other such bugs. If you can kill the bugs the moles will leave or die of starvation.

You have to move the dog stake every so often to keep your puppie-dogs from killing the grass. If you put the dog were the moles are maybe they might get rid of your moles.

Believe me, I've tried to train the dogs to eat moles. Between my neighbor and I we've tried everything on the moles short of dynomite. Poison, spraying for grubs, bubblegum, sonic repellant, nothing has worked. I want to see some mole corpses!!!

Lowes sells granules you can spread (you will obviously need a spreader...you can borrow mine if you don't have one) that kills the moles food supply. Killing the moles themselves is a futile effort. Like Pegasus said, to get rid of the moles you have to get rid of their food supply. I treat twice a year, and quickly know it if I forget...
