Default 93 Octane, NO ETHANOL

Is there any place local that sells this? I would think the best bet would be around the lake, because ethanol and watersports don't mix well. I'd like to have some good gas for the bike for the track.

whats wrong with ethanol ? It wont damage anything, and the octane rating has nothing to do with how fast the bike will run. it just determines whether or not the gas will detonate prematurely in the chamber, forcing the ECU to pull timing to compensate. So whether its ethanol or not, octane rating is what counts.

Go get some 94 octane from the eagle stop by longhorns, or if you really want to make sure you have no ethanol they have race gas at the gas station in Holts Summit, and at the JC airport.

pretty sure all gas around here is 90/10 except for race gas and boat docks. Could be wrong.

There are a couple places (I believe Sinclair at 54/Southwest) advertises that they do not put ethanol in their premium fuel.

And yes Cody, ethanol sucks. It has a less energy in it than gasoline so it will negatively effect the power output of the bike. It's also corrosive to the internals, fuel lines, etc of the motorcycle. I HATE the idiots that pushed this law through, just for what it does to my vehicle. Don't even get me started on the argument that each gallon of ethanol requires more than one gallon diesel for production, AND the fact that they're using food (corn) for fuel, AND the fact that they are wasting millions of gallons of water with ethanol production, AND the fact that the governor that pushed this through is benefitting financially in a huge way from the mandated E10 rule.
