but even in Highschool at the age of 17 my 600rr was this cheap...and that was with full coverage on a 383 Monte SS as my primary.

it def. doesnt hurt to shop around but i hate hearing people lead other people on saying their insurance was "OMG so cheap"

for example when i was about to purchase Cody Hodges WRX before i went with a different route...i was trying to figure out how we both use Farm bureau. i new age plays in some but then i realized he basically carries state minimum :/
Ah, so you are through Farm Bureau as well. I know there are different coverage rates, but from everything I've checked - Farm Bureau has been cheaper for all ranges of coverage. I've also dealt with many different insurance companies on claims for wrecks when I was working at Tergin Motorsports - and I must say, Farm Bureau was the easiest to deal with.

What I'm saying is - if someone says "My insurance is way cheaper than yours" and they are using a different ins. company than you, it's probably because the company offers better rates for comparable coverage and itd be worth checking in to.

I've been with Farm Bureau for 15 years. I just recently switched to Rick, but have always had cheaper rates and better service than the majority of other non-Farm Bureau members.

What kills me is the Progressive and Geico claims that they are the cheapest you'll find, and after getting a quote from each, it was over $1200 a year for less coverage than FB gives me. :/

You guys need to see what the rate difference is between $250 deductible and $1000 deductible. You may find that it is a significant amount. Take the difference and put is in a savings account for just the $1000 deductible.

Progressive and Geico don't want to insure sportbikes. Look at their commercials, they are all cruisers and offroad vehicles, with the exception of one Hypermotard. Although Geico DOES support AMA racing so that is one plus.

FWIW, I use Farm Bureau now and it's cheaper for a year with FB than it was for a month with Progressive.

I no longer own a sportbike, and I think I'm only carrying liability on my current bike, but I'll look at my rates/coverage when I get home.

I pay $25/month for my liter bike through Farm Bureau (Doug Glick). That's for full coverage, $500 deductible, 100/300/100. Josh (my brother) has a 08 600RR and pays $27/month for the same package. We also moved our other vehicles over as that was part of being able to get the rates as low.

To throw what AmFam quoted me -- $167/month for me, $250'ish for Josh. Their reason? "Those are super bikes." I then informed them that my super bike and my 4 other vehicles were going to be leaving to go to Farm Bureau.

I use Doug as well^ I'll have to look up what it is but it's cheap - about hundred a month for bike and two cars.

I pay ~225'ish/month for the bike, Expedition, Civic, FX35, and my Stealth (as a pleasure vehicle). All have 100/300/100, $500 deductible.
