I think tucked under the tail would be badass. The bad part is, you cut enough of the subframe off, it would require more work to get a suitable support for the muffler. The other obstacle you may run into is the truss on your swingarm may contact the pipe at some point in the suspension travel. It's really hard to tell by pictures though. There may be all kinds of room there.
If I was going to do it, I would snake it up between the rider and passenger footpegs - keeping it as high as possible (to avoid rubbing at full suspension travel) and bring it out as close to center of the tail section. Keep on mind that batteries and bodywork don't like heat, especially from exhaust pipes touching them, so you'd need to use some aluminum insulated stuff to protect those things. For a muffler mount - measure the inner dimensions of your subframe and get some tubing that will fit inside. Bend it to make a support that will slide into the end of the subframe (hard to explain but I've got a perfect visual in my head).

Jcwhitney sells pre-bent mandrel bends in a variety if sizes. That would be the way to go, cut, tack, fit, cut, tack, fit until your satisfied - then weld it all up. Like this, but hopefully with less cuts and welds.

(btw, I did not make that pipe)

I've fully compressed the rear suspension and strapped it down. There should be enough room to get a pipe up there...... And there is some subframe up underneath the tail that isn't really visible in the photos that could be used to support a can. I just can't weld or bend pipe, which sucks. I'm really having a hard time not messing with this thing some more.

I can weld it, but I don't have a die to bend that size pipe yet.

And Earz, I know you wouldn't have done something like that.

Aluminized steel bends
MANDREL-BENT ALUMINIZED TUBING - JCWhitney

tight radius bends
TIGHT-RADIUS MANDREL-BENT ALUIMINIZED STEEL TUBING - JCWhitney

or if you have the $$ and the right welder - stainless bends.
TIGHT-RADIUS MANDREL-BENT T304 STAINLESS STEEL TUBING - JCWhitney

You can probably find these cheaper somewhere on the 'net. Measure the OD of your current midpipe and let me know. I have a few bends that I bought back when I had my AWD talon. I was going to make a downpipe, but never got around to it. I think they're 2.5" so they might be a little big.

nope, that would be this fine fellow building a trellis frame inspired sportbike with a turbo charged fuel injected XS650 engine for a powerplant. And I thought my peasly little build was complex.

That guy is either a pipe fitter or a "crashcar" roll cage builder.

That build would take some time even with the right equipment.

I guess what I should have originally posted is, "Does anyone know a place I can take my bike, tell a guy where I want the pipe routed and hung, and have him make it happen?" I'm waaaay too lazy to do all the cutting and measuring. I'd rather just have a pro build me a custom undertail or high mount.
