Wow. That killed about 20 minutes of my morning. What an amazing build. Reminds me of this guy who built an early 1900s Excelsior motorized bicycle from SCRATCH! Fab nerds, only check this out if you have a few spare hours to waste. Ooops. Forgot to add the link. Click on the Excelsior project. http://www.flashbackfab.com/

look for a high mount mid pipe and go from there, should be all you need.

Problem with finding a highmount pipe is the age of his bike. Highmount weren't around before 98-99?? If you find a himount midpipe to try to adapt, you'd be better off getting one custom made. If I had the time, I'd definately help with this - homemade shit is 10x cooler than something you buy anyway. I did find a better option for exhaust bends though, in case you decide to team up with Pegasus or something.
Combo Exhaust Bends the process is not real difficult. Here's a video showing a similar process making a whole exhaust system for an old triumph.

What size pipe would it take 1.25", 1.5" or 1.75"?
I am giving some thought to buying a new die for my bender.

My guess - for CBR900's application would be around 2" - but I no longer own a sportbike that has a large midpipe that I could measure.
Most header pipes are either 1.5 or 1.75 depending on application. The bad part about your bender is that it will not create a uniform bend - it will not be perfectly round in the middle of the bend because it will crush the pipe slightly. In the event that you needed to cut one apart in the middle of a bend and weld a straight piece up to it, the bent section would be more of an oval and the straight piece would be round. That is the benefit of mandrel bent tube - it stays uniform thru the entire bend. Unless you are talking about getting a mandrel bender? That would be awesome, but they are stupid expensive.

Yeah, that is a good point with the pipe being crushed. Plus the crushed area would hinder exhaust flow.

It's a 2" pipe fellas...... No worries though, I'm going to wait until I decide to do a sssa or not before I mess with the exhaust..

Ryan, this bike already has an undertail/highmount exhaust (and a few other go fast goodies)
