Thanks Stasi! Im almost afraid to post this..but Staff Sgt got lost leaving Quantico(he is admin apparently his land nav is a bit rusty) and the guys got a driving tour of DC. My son was texting me as this was going on..he saw the Pentagon, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and "a bunch of awesome buildings". He said getting lost was never so cool. They didnt get back here until after 11p LOL!

Thumbs up Update

Well they let my son graduate HS last night. His shipdate to the USMC got moved up..way up. This past Wednesday his recruiter called with an open slot for Recon. However the catch..his ship date is June 20..as in next week. We were expecting him to go Nov 8th. My son took the job and he will be going to PI next week. Good thing I scheduled his graduation party for tomorrow or else he may well have missed his own party.

Same kind of thing just happened to my nephew, his ship date was in January but a slot opened up and now he is leaving for San Diego in a week. Best of luck to your son!!!
