I see it as a mutual misunderstanding. I could see how someone could enjoy a Harley but I personally find them boring in a riding aspect. I prefer more active street riding and the occasional track day. Turn the table, to "them" I'm sure we look like a bunch of reckless hooligans. Unfortunately that may not be a grand stretch of the truth sometimes.....

Don't get me wrong, I'd own a Harley if I could afford one. Hell, I'd own one of everything if I could afford it. It boils down to to much ignorance in the world. I see it as, if your riding because you enjoy it, that's all that matters, despite the make model or age of your bike.

I'm sure my little comment about why harley riders dont have baskets in front of their bikes wasnt the reason one or two people puffed up like blow fish either

I was just giving you some crap. I've owned everything from a Honda to a Harley and like riding them all.

I've put A LOT of miles on Harleys and my conclusion was that they are big, heavy slow, poor handling, overpriced machines. I don't care if someone wants to own and ride one.... But they should think it through before they start bashing real riders. I can afford a Harley and don't want one. I'm just sick of pompus assholes that think that a Harley is the be all end all of motorcycling.

Yeah, I know. I can take a little good natured ribbing. I've been the butt of many jokes on here since I signed up. Hell, if you guys weren't making fun of me, I'd think you were pissed at me.

The one good thing about having a Harley is that getting parts for one is pretty easy to find. Harley doesn't change their product line much. When I had a Sportster there was a ten year time span of interchangeable parts. How many of your Japanese bikes can do that?

The Flinstones have the same luxury for centuries.
