Default Did I see Desmo?

I was headed north on 63 Thursday afternoon and one of Missouri's finest had somebody pulled over on the shoulder. The trooper really pissed me off too because the lucky guy was out on his Harley. Protecting and serving the fine citizens of Missouri all from the seat of a motorcycle. Desmo was that you?

Luuuuuuckkkkkyy....Man I always wanted to be a motorcycle unit if I hit the road...doing a hobby you love for a living must feel great
Instead, for a couple different reasons (biggest being a non-cop wife if you know what I mean), I work for the phone company now ...

BTW I saw you one day at one of the crossovers north of Ashland once when I was going south in my cage. It was last fall I believe, when it was getting cooler.
Do all the depts use HD now? Is there any Japanese police units out there?
I like those old school KZ1000 Police bikes-but I haven't seen those around for years.

HD is king in the States among police agencies. The only other major player is BMW. Honda has an ST1300 Police, and word has it that Kawasaki has gotten back in the game, also. HD has made U.S. police fleets a major priority, though. That is why they were offering $50 for a one year Road King lease for police agencies for a while. Yeah, I said 50 bucks a year. Times have been tough, lately, and that deal is no longer valid. Now I think the lease option is $1,000. For a year. No wonder HD is so wide spread among police agencies.

The MSHP bought theirs, however. I believe they still got a sweet discount, and if they play their cards right, they won't get hurt at all when they want to sell them and buy new ones. From what I am hearing, the HP wants to get new bikes every two years...when the warranties run out. That means we will be due for new bikes this year. New stuff is always great, but my current ride is nearly completely gremlin free, which is something my partner cannot say. It is an external equipment issue more than an HD issue, but still, I hate to give up a bike that works great just to get a new model. Meh, maybe I will get lucky again.

I am not the HD type, but getting paid to ride a motorcycle is a dream come true. I am usually covered in bruises from pinching myself...

No can do...radios and radar equipment do not fall under Adam's area of expertise!

I thought he installed all that when you first got the bikes. Maybe not.
