I would've done a couple things different though. The mostly the forks. The forks themselves don't really go with the rest of the bike that well, but it's the reflectors that really do it in. They just look weird there. IF there were going to be reflectors on the forks at all, I would've had them farther down. But that's just my opinion ^_^

Needs a white wall up front too.... And maybe some 6" risers and drag bars.

that's a cool build. it really wouldn't cost a whole lot. The expensive things would be paint and the solo seat and a few other things that you could do without for a while. He/she pretty well took more off than what they put on.

while his struts are well made, you can make a crude version by getting some 1" square tubing and drilling a hole in each end (at desired ride height). A hacksaw would take that rear section of the frame off quick and cheap too. Find a fender and cut it to fit. Find some thick (~16 - 10 gauge) steel, cut to shape for seat pan, buy a $5 camping mat from walmart. cut and glue the mat to the seat pan and shape it with a grinder (or drywall file thing). Then cover with any material (vinyl from fabric store or cut up an old leather purse or leather jacket from thrift store). Get some valve springs from an old v-8 engine to use as seat springs....

The possibilities are endless and if you're thrifty/clever enough can be quite cheap.

I am not into the whitewall tires and the reflectors on the front forks, but the rest of it is pretty cool.

No, just been very busy. Work, school, planning my buddies bachelor party, trying to sell my house, working on other peoples shit, etc.

I've actually done more to it since the last time I posted anything, but you'll have to wait a little longer for any updates.

depending on where he lives, front reflectors may be absolutely necessary for it to be legal. In MO, we are pretty lucky on what is needed on a bike. Mirrors optional, turn signals optional, etc. Some states are picky enough that you can't mount the license plate on the side, or you must have reflectors on the front forks. Some countries are pretty picky too. A lot of them say that you must have rear suspension. There's some guys in those places that spend buckoo bucks to make a bike look like a hardtail, but retain suspension.

Check out bobbertalk.com. Lots of good ideas and builds.

Rustin, me and you would both look like overgrown apes on that bike. My 650 is going to be small enough to get the same "monkey-effn-a-football" look.
