Default Hallett Rider Appreciation MLD's Sept 5-6 2010

It’s that time again. Hallett Motor Racing Circuit’s Rider Appreciation Weekend is coming up. It’s Labor Day Weekend, Sep 5-6. That’s a Sunday and Monday so there will be a full Saturday for travel down (and I’d strongly recommend taking Tuesday off as well because we won’t be home until after midnight the night before).

Who all is interested in going? They usually discount the fees if you do both days, so it will cost $180 to get on track. There are other fees for the class, electricity, etc, but overall it shouldn’t be anymore than $250 plus gas and food. You will need boots, leather suit (or jacket and pants), gauntlet style gloves, full face helmet, and a bike in good working order. Check their website www.hallettracing.net for more info.

I’ve got three spots on my trailer. Obviously my bike will take one of them. My wife may be riding, so I may only have one spot open. First person to confirm they’re going gets it. You’ll have to share gas, pack light, and not have any BO! I’ll update later on the possible 3rd spot.

Copy and Paste and add your name if you’re going:

Ron

My wife is leaning on me to go to Texas with her on Labor Day weekend. I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Do I go the selfish route and go to Hallett for two days, or do I be a good husband and go with her for the entire Labor Day weekend, which will require me to burn an entire week of vacation?

It's not wrong to be selfish every now and then is it? And Hallett on Labor Day has been a ritual for you for a couple years now hasnt it?

No sir I am not. Financial issues are a huge burden right now. Plus I want to step up to a better bike before going to the track. But believe me I will be joining you on a Hallett trip in the future.
