Midwest Car Enthusiasts are having a Summer Meet at Albert Oakland today starting at 11:30. Over 50 people from our site alone, more coming in from St.L and KC. The spring meet had over 250 cars and 3 bikes show, over 300 people total, and that was with it raining nearly the entire time. If yall wanna stop in I'm sure there's room Just bring a couple bucks for supply runs or grab some food stuffs on the way to contribute. Hope to meet some of you there ^_^

i wanted to go but took off for the subaru show last weekend, and then another day on sep 13 for the KC chiefs game, so couldnt swing gettin this saturday off :'(

when/how long do you work? As nice as it is today, it's gonna last for a while. i've gotta work at five, so I'll have to leave early, but I imagine it'll go for several hours at the least. especially if someone brings a foot ball or Frisbee or something lol

I work until 6 then made plans for after since I was alreayd going to miss the whole thing.

Im usually out for supercruise but not this one either.

it was pretty good. it was pretty impromptu, so there were a few people that were going to come that ended up not being able to get the time off from work. I think if the kc guy had organized this better it would've turned out really well. I'll have to say tho, only with mwce is it customary to light a grill with a propane torch :P

i probably should of posted this sooner, but it was kind of a last minute decision. honestly, this one didn't turn out too great. poor organization. some kid from kc joined our forums and was basically like "hey the last meet was awesome and i heard you were planning another. I went ahead and rented the shelter for the 28th" then didn't help with any of the organizing or planning, so we were trying to get everything sorted out in half the time we took to organize the last one. the april one was basically rained out, but we had over 3x more people show up. i left around 4p along with a couple others that were heading out for work. if you wanna join the midwest forums, you'll be able to see the pics. also, we have our own nights that we get together here in town (like at andys near nifong on wednesdays) and i wouldn't doubt if we end up setting up another meet for this fall.

I usually ride up to IFO with midwestCE people, columbia just has such abetter car scene than JC.
