From the sounds of it the R1 is the bike to have! I have also heard rumors of the 11 R6 having the cross plane crank I may just wait and see.
Devo if I make it to a group ride I may have to take you up on that because no dealer will let me ride a new bike.
Not mine yet leeman still trying to figure out if i really want to pay for it. If I do buy one you can bet I am coming to St. Louis!

I never rode Devo's R1 but I remember that when he was passing it around, the big topic was the mode select... That's pretty trick for a motorcycle

I was also reading up on the 2010 R6 and I read that it had a power drop. Something to do with more emissions?? It wasn't alot but like 5-9Hp I think... could be wrong. If you notice too that the 2010 has a longer exhaust pipe compared to an 08-09. The '10R6 also came in the pearl white that was exclusive to R1's

Mode select has become the norm on the big bikes. It's almost necessary anymore.

Agreed. There needs to be a "b" mode on the R6, which would of course increase the power output to R1 power. Why didn't someone think of this before?

They have that option now. It costs about 3 grand and comes with a little sticker that says "R1"

This is true, but I want R6 Looks with R1 power so that doesn't solve my needs, wants, desires Like to save the 3 grand also if possible. R6 with power up mode=super sleeper
Maybe they could call it the R69. LOL
