this will be the last year for gateway , it has gone up for sale , anyone got a few million to open a private race course ?

Man, don't I wish. Don't think I haven't fantasized about buying a couple of hundred acres and building my own road course.

It is a pity that Missouri will no longer have a track. Several of our bordering states do (Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Kentucky), but nothing in the Show-Me State. Bah.

If I ever win the lottery (or otherwise find a way to come up with about $20mil to spend) my plan is to build a track somewhere along the I-70 corridor.

actually that may not be completely accurate. There is rumor of another road course opening in Jefferson county .

I hope so. For a couple of years there was a rumor of an AMA level track opening near Marshfield, but it never materialized. I am all for a track in JeffCo. Hallett and others are 6 hours away...JeffCo would be 2 1/2.
